Family and friends are an integral part of the healing process. Our JCAHO accreditation and Medicare certification require that all patients be discharged home with a responsible adult (18 years or older). Our waiting room was designed and outfitted to provide comfort and convenience for those caring for the patient. To help pass the time, our lobby is outfitted with Wireless Internet and a computer for those who do not have a laptop with WiFi capability. Caribou Coffee, Tea, and soft drinks are available free of charge as well as vending machine snacks at a fee.
Surgery is a stressful event for patients and family. In order to respect their right to a pleasant and stress free environment, visitors are limited to immediate family members and children/siblings of the patient. Since most of the procedures here are short, we request that cousins, nephews, etc. wait until the patient has discharged home and is feeling well enough to accept visitors. In our lobby is an area set up for siblings and children of patients where they can watch a video, play games, color, and or read a book.
